Now, we’re taking that proven model north to Perth. Our new sister site, Perth Storage Units, will transform the long-derelict ABP meat-processing plant on Strathtay Road into Scotland’s first purpose-built, design-led modular self storage park.

For over a decade, the Strathtay Road site has stood empty a hazardous, deteriorating structure with collapsed roof sections, exposed asbestos, and potentially unsafe RAAC panels. It has become a magnet for fly-tipping, vandalism, and general blight in the area.
Our plan is straightforward. We will remove this unsafe structure entirely and replace it with a clean, quiet, secure modular self storage facility a model widely used across Europe, but one that Perth will now see executed to the highest standard.
What’s Coming to Perth
The new facility will launch with 116 Strongholds™ premium modular units, installed in phases to match local demand. Each unit will feature:
- NASA-developed aerogel insulation for year-round climate protection
- Digital locks operated via a secure mobile app
- Military-grade powder-coated galvanised steel construction
- Reinforced internal bracing for added durability
The site will also feature:
- 24/7 monitored CCTV across the entire compound
- Automated security gates with controlled access
- Motion-activated LED lighting to reduce light pollution
- Architectural finishes in muted greys with Traffic Blue roller doors, creating a clean, uniform appearance
