The Rebel Bear comes to BOXXS this Sunday.

This Sunday, 7 July, something very different is happening at BOXXS.

For one day only, our Linlithgow site will be transformed into an open-air Exhibition featuring large-scale murals by one of Scotland’s most culturally significant street artists — The Rebel Bear.

Known for thought-provoking works that tackle a range of topics, including love, identity, digital culture, and inequality, The Rebel Bear has created murals in cities worldwide. But this is the first time his work has been exhibited together at scale, and the setting is unlike anything you might expect.

We’re turning our industrial storage yard into a fully walkable gallery space. Over a dozen original pieces will be painted directly onto the sides of our units, creating a powerful street art experience right here in West Lothian. Some of these works have been reinterpreted or resized for the exhibition, and all of them carry the unmistakable wit and weight of the Bear’s message.

To give you a preview of what to expect, we’ve created a new online gallery that showcases a selection of the murals that will be on display. Each piece includes its title, location history, and a short note from the artist.

This is a completely free event, and the first 500 visitors will receive a free ice cream on us.

Some of the murals will remain in place permanently at BOXXS. Others will be relocated to future sites — but for one day, they’ll all be here, together, in a space not typically associated with art.

If you’ve ever wanted to see how industrial space can be reimagined, this is your moment.
